FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is a multinational non-profit organization, that aspires to transform culture, making science, math, engineering, and technology as cool for kids as sports are today. Programs include FIRST LEGO League Explore (grades K-4), FIRST LEGO League Challenge (ages 9-14), FIRST Tech Challenge (grades 7-12) and FIRST Robotics Competition (grades 9-12). FIRST programs are brought to Louisiana by FIRST Louisiana-Mississippi, Inc., which was founded in 2003 as a non-profit organization dedicated to the ideal of building and bringing programs to enrich science and technology learning for the students of Louisiana. Comprised of members from academia, industry, and the K-12 school districts, the focus is to offer and support programs that foster enthusiasm and spread awareness of the opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields. These programs would not be possible without the support of our sponsors!
