2019 ROOKIE FAST-STARTS – REGISTRATION LINKS BELOW
Need help getting started? There are a number of opportunities to attend a FIRST Lego League (FLL) “Fast-Start” Training this year! It is a great opportunity for rookie teams to get up to speed, but veteran teams are also welcome. Each Fast-Start is being graciously hosted by FIRST teams, so the particular agenda may vary, but the objective is to go home with a working robot and at least one program!
To make the most of this opportunity, it is recommended that you:
* Build your robot ahead of time. Instructions for a basic robot come with the EV3 set.
* Bring your team laptop, if you have one, with the software already loaded. If you don’t yet have your software, you can now download the Mindstorms EV3 Education Edition free from https://education.lego.com/en-us/downloads/mindstorms-ev3/software. Fast-start hosts may have a limited number of computers onsite, but it is always best to have your own, if possible.
Attendance is free, but you must register by the Wednesday prior to the Saturday event. If the registration number exceeds the capacity of a facility, registration for that event will be closed. Each team may bring up to 10 students max and must be accompanied by an adult. No students may be dropped off unaccompanied. Questions regarding the Fast Starts may be addressed to Louisiana FIRST LEGO League Partners Dr. Annette Oertling at email@example.com or Dr. Michelle Sanchez at firstname.lastname@example.org.
